This is another of the works which I dug from a pile at her studio and never had seen before. It dates from the 1980's I believe, and shows the artist in her studio with the windows in background. This oil technique is very wet and impressionist and sets a somber mood. The head scarf is an interesting part of the piece. Mary had incredible taste in clothing, and had many beautiful scarves in silk which she wore often. This is not one of those... Instead it is almost deliberately clinical, as if she was ill.
